Digital Paper & Anoto Pattern |

|
Looks like normal paper... but is covered in a fine pattern of dots, almost invisible to the naked eye
These dots allow the pen to:
- know exactly where it is on the page
- record details of each pen stroke
- tell the pen what to do, e.g. change ink colour, send to my phone
The dot pattern is so unique it can even identify what application, or business, uses this piece of paper!
Anoto™ Pattern is based on round dots slightly displaced from an orthogonal grid
An area of 6x6 dots gives us a unique position
The total pattern size is 60,000,000km2, an area larger than Europe and Asia combined!
